Amid the controversy with Erika Jayne, popular The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais sent out a touching tweet expressing how much she loves and appreciates her three sons. Recently, a clip of an unaired scene in an upcoming episode of RHOBH was posted on social media. In the scene, the cast was at a birthday party for Garcelle and a drunk Erika was flirting with Garcelle’s eldest son, Oliver Saunders. Once Garcelle’s event was finished, Oliver left the scene, and Jax Nilon, Garcelle’s 14-year-old son, approached the table where Erika was seated to get a bouquet of flowers for his mother.
Once Jax was at the table, Erika questioned his presence and he informed her that he was just getting the flowers. Surprisingly, Erika cursed at Jax and told him to leave the room before he got in trouble. Of course, Jax informed his mother and she confronted her RHOBH castmate Erika to express her unhappiness with the situation. Erika then signaled for Jax to return to the table where she was seated, but he did not. Erika was called out by fans for her actions, and Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley also came under fire. Garcelle also was criticized for laughing about the situation. Kyle tried defending her actions on social media, but fans did not accept what she had to say.
In the heat of the feud, Garcelle took to Twitter to share an appreciation post for her sons. The star posted a picture of Oliver, Jax, and Jaid Nilon, and penned a caption about how respectful they were. The caption said, “This is an appreciation post for my sons Oliver, Jax, & Jaid. You boys make me so proud…you are loving, kind, and respectful.” The RHOBH star’s caption went on to say, “You show respect to people even when they don’t deserve it. Respect is a reflection of your character, not theirs.” Many believe that this is Garcelle’s response to Erika, Dorit, and Kyle.
Naturally, fans chimed in to share their opinion and fans showered Garcelle with praise for her public response. One user said, “Even when they don’t deserve it” SAY THAT GARCELLE!” Another said, “…this is such a beautiful message and I respect you for sharing it in spite of the negativity and inappropriate behaviour two of your sons were faced with on behalf of some of your cast members. Your sons clearly know the meaning of grace, class and dignity.” Some other RHOBH fans felt as though Garcelle was receiving unnecessary praise. On this, a commenter said, “Oh here it is a new storyline. When you’ve raised good respectable children no need to flaunt it because it’s in their actions. Jaid had his share of issues as you’ve stated on the show he turned things around and these days are proud moments but no need to post, tell them!”
Though Erika has received backlash because of the sneak peek clip from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she has not made a comment about what has happened. Jax has also not made any public comments about the situation. Immediately after the interaction with Erika, Jax had told his mother that everything was fine, so it is unlikely he will make a public comment about the situation—especially after his mother’s recent post. The full episode with the altercation will air on Bravo on July 6.
