A 90 Day Fiancé fan claimed Kim Menzies disrespected her, but the reality star cleared up the confusion by explaining exactly what had happened. Kim was recently seen on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 with popular cast member Usman “Sojaboy” Umar. After splitting from his American wife Lisa Hamme, the Nigerian rapper started chatting with Kim on social media. Although the couple has an age gap of nearly two decades, they seem to share a great friendship. However, Kim wanted to be more than friends with Usman.
That’s why she flew from San Diego to Zanzibar to meet him in person to see if he was willing to transform their online friendship into something more. During the season, Kim tried several different things to impress Usman, which shocked many 90 Day Fiancé viewers, including a honeymoon suite to sway him to become her boyfriend. Later on, Kim blatantly tried to buy Usman’s love with expensive gifts like a MacBook Pro and a new PlayStation 5. The 51-year-old reality star Kim failed to become a fan favorite due to her desperate and manipulative actions, but she still has some loyal followers.
But it seems that one of Kim’s fans is cross with her. The fan shared a post on social media, claiming that the new 90 Day Fiancé franchise star was rude to her when they met in public. The fan’s Facebook post read, “Saw Kimbaaaaaly at Target and wasn’t even planning on saying ‘hi’ but she gave me the ‘talk to the hand’ motion and scoffed.” The fan sarcastically wrote that she felt rejected by Kim. But the San Diego resident Kim denied the accusation that she insulted the 90 Day Fiancé fan and shared her side of the story on Instagram. “If you saw this, please know this isn’t what happened,” she assured her followers.
In her Instagram stories, Kim further explained that since she was already talking to someone else, she just put her hand up to tell her fan to wait, and never intended any disrespect. She added, “I don’t treat people like that. Smh.” It seems that when Kim gestured to her fan to wait, the fan took it as an insult. After seeing the argument on both sides, it appears that it was just a simple misunderstanding.
Although some of Kim’s actions on the show were questionable, she came across as a very sweet person. She may not have been polite to Usman’s management team, Badmus and Slam-T, but she was quite friendly with his female musician friend, Rosa. In fact, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise star tries to respond to most fan comments on her Instagram posts. It doesn’t seem like Kim actually dismissed or disrespected the fan. But perhaps Kim should have just said hello and flashed a smile instead of telling the fan to wait.
